Article I: Name
The name of this committee shall be the Public Health Committee of the Incident Management Teams Association (IMTA).
Article II: Purpose
The purpose of the Public Health Committee is to harness the collective expertise of IMTA members who are passionate and knowledgeable about public health and healthcare facilitating the exploration, development, and implementation of public health and healthcare emergency response in the sphere of incident management. This committee is dedicated to advising the Board of Directors and other relevant partners on all matters concerning public health and healthcare emergency response, with a special focus enhancing operational efficiencies, response capabilities, and overall preparedness.
Article III: Responsibilities
Article IV: MembershipBuild a work group of public health IMT practitioners to share information and educate others in the field.
Identify the strengths and challenges facing IMTs in the public health field and strategies to address the challenges.
Collect and disseminate lessons learned from the use of IMTs in public health.
Conduct outreach to locate and recruit new IMTA members from the public health community.
Liaise with public health associations to represent and educate about IMTs and their role in public health.
Advise the IMTA Board and its partners concerning public health and healthcare emergency response
Article V: Meetings
The Public Health Committee will meet at least quarterly, or more frequently as deemed necessary by the chair. Meetings can be held virtually or in-person, depending on the needs of the committee and availability of the members.
Article VI: Reporting
The Public Health Committee will provide regular updates and reports to the IMTA Board of Directors during board meetings, or as requested by the Board. These reports will include progress on initiatives, challenges faced, and recommendations for future actions.

This charter may be amended at any time with the approval of the IMTA Board of Dire
