FDNY IMT with Bob Maynes

Bob Maynes will discuss the history of the creation and development of the FDNY IMT. He will discuss challenges and successes from his four years of experience and attempt to apply the lessons to current IMTs.
Bob Maynes retired in 2014 after a 34 year career with FDNY. His last permanent assignment was as The Queens Borough Commander responsible for managing 2200 firefighters and officers stationed in 2 Divisions and 9 battalions. He also served as the Operations Section Chief and Incident Commander for the last twelve years of his career. In 2004 he was assigned the role of training coordinator for the expansion of the FDNY IMT. He also served 2 seasons on the Southwest type-1 IMT as an operations section chief trainee and Liaison Officer.
